Is it possible to install Axon to make the Web Control Panel accessible via web browser anywhere in the world?

Yes.  If you have Axon installed on a computer connected to the public Internet then you can connect using your public port eg. http://[publicip]:[AxonPort].   If your public IP address is changed at any time by your ISP, you could signup to a "free dynamic IP name service" (search Google since we don't want to recommend one company over another).   Speak to a Network Administrator for more advanced options like using your own Domain Name, or running Axon on a private network computer and having the connections redirected.
