IPTel (iptel.org) is a VoIP portal promoting VoIP technologies. It offers a free international SIP number allocation service. Its commercial arm provides corporate research and consulting services regarding security, VoIP services and next generation networks.

Notes:

IPTel is compatible with most of the major PC to PC SIP providers. Users subscribed to other providers can be called using their full SIP address e.g. "411@proxy01.sipphone.com".

This provider supports extra services such as Phone Book lookup, Call History, Missed Calls, and Instant Messaging.
