I cannot rip CDs and I am logged on as a restricted user

Technical limitations with the CD interface in Windows prohibit running CD burning or ripping applications in restricted mode. Only Administrators can see the tracks and access them; the necessary features to access these tracks cannot be used by Restricted users.
However, there is a work-around available that will allow a Restricted Windows XP user to rip audio CD tracks - please refer to the Enable CD Ripping/Burning for Restricted Users web page for details.
