VRS only records frequencies up to 4Khz but We need to record the whole audio spectrum.

Please check the sample rate of the audio compression codec being used for the recordings (in Settings -> Recordings). The sample rate needs to be double the frequency that you want to record. You would need to use a sample rate of 16.000 kHz at a minimum. A sample rate of 44.100 kHz should capture anything the human ear is capable of hearing. Note that increasing the sample rate will result in larger audio files.
