WavePad will not open my file(s) properly.

Are you are using a file format compatible with WavePad?   Current formats include .wav,  .mp3,  .vox,  .gsm,  Real Audio, .au,  and .aif among others.

Check that you have the correct sound card selected in WavePad "File -> Settings -> Audio Processing".
