Why can't I send an email using the MAPI option?

If you use the Thunderbird email client you may be experiencing a bug in Thunderbird. To fix this problem, open Thunderbird and open the options dialog (Tools --> Options). On the General tab, uncheck the box which says "Always check to see that Thunderbird is the default mail client on startup". Then close Thunderbird. This process will not remove Thunderbird from being your default email client.
