Web Dictate users can see each other's dictations

This happens when two or more users have the same ID number.  It can occur with installations using a Site License, where the ID number from the site license registration and activation code (Name - Location - ID - Key) has also been incorrectly assigned to individual users.

It can also occur if the ID being used includes any letters.  At present, if Web Dictate detects any letters in an ID it will set the ID number to “0” (zero).   If the IDs being allocated to users include any letter, all of those users will have an ID of 0 as far as Web Dictate is concerned.

Web Dictate keeps each user’s dictation files in a folder that has the same name as that user’s ID number.   These folders are located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NCH Swift Sound\WebDictate\Users.   Each user MUST be allocated a unique ID - otherwise multiple users with the same ID will share the same folder and can therefore see each other’s dictation files.
