Access Violation or other crash reported in LMPGSPL.AX
Express Burn has just crashed and this was caused by the third
party codec lmpgspl.ax.This is a file that is a part of the Ligos
Codecs. To fix this issue
- Please upgrade your installation of the Ligos Codecs or even
uninstall it if you do not use it anymore
- Disable lmpgspl.ax for the current use of Express Burn or Prism.
- Search your computer for the location of the file: LMPGSPL.AX
- [START > Search, or just push F3 button]
- Launch the Command Prompt
- Windows XP, Start Menu, select Run and type cmd
- Vista, Start Menu and type cmd.exe in the search box where you see
'/Start Search/'. In the list above right click on cmd.exe and pick Run
as administrator.
- Then type in the following string - regsvr32 /u \"path to the offending file"\lmpgvd.ax
- Press the OK button.
- When presented with the successful pop-up, press the OK button.
- Type in the following string - regsvr32 /u \"path to the offending file"\lmpgspl.ax
- Press the OK button.
- When presented with the successful pop-up, press the OK button.
- Type in the following string - regsvr32 /u \"path to the offending file"\lmpgad.ax
- Press the OK button.
- When presented with the successful pop-up, press the OK button, close all windows and applications and re-boot your system.
