Q. How can I purchase AudioTime? What does it cost?
The current pricing of AudioTime is displayed here. Click on the "more info..." links to view an explanation of the different license classes.
You can also purchase using VISA or Mastercard on the same form. You will receive a license, serial ID and key. After you receive the key, if you have not done so already, download and install the software using one of the links below then use the "Register Software" item from the File menu and enter the ID and key.
Q. Can I upgrade from a previous version? What is the upgrade policy?
All minor upgrades and bug fixes and some major upgrades are available free. Simply install the new file over the old file.
If we introduce major new features or change the registration system, we may require users to purchase an upgrade.
We guarantee free upgrades for 3 months from date of purchase but in practice we often allow upgrades up to 12 months. If in doubt backup your old version and just try the new version. If you purchased more than 12 months ago, you will need purchase an upgrade to the current version. Please use www.nch.com.au/upgrade to view discounted upgrade pricing. You will need to have your previous registration ID and Key to purchase an upgrade key.
Q. What format does Audio Time save to?
Wave format (.wav), with a selectable sample rate between 8000 – 96000 Hz in mono or stereo.
Q. Does Audio Time support multiple sound cards? How Many?
Yes. There is no specified upper limit to the number of Record Devices (sound cards) that can be used with AudioTime. The practical limit is the number of sound cards that can be installed in the computer running the software, and whether there are sufficient CPU and memory resources available on the computer to drive them all simultaneously during recording.
Q. Can this software record Internet radio stations?
Yes it can. You should check your Windows Recording Mixer Panel for the presence of a "Stereo Mix" channel, "Wave Out Mix" channel, or something similar. This is the recording channel you need to use to do this (go to Start -> Run -> type "sndvol32.exe /rec" to get the Recording Mixer).
Q. Can NCH Swift Sound help develop a more complex system?
When you download and install AudioTime you also install extensive help files that contain the full manual. This can be opened using the Help Contents item of the AudioTime menu.
Q. Can NCH Swift Sound modify or customize AudioTime?
If you want to suggest an improvement to AudioTime or find a bug, let us know at our suggestions site. If we implement the suggestion or fix the bug, we will give you a free upgrade.
