How can I tie notes together?

To tie two notes together:

1. Click on the note
2. Six colored circles will pop-up with various options
3. The tie option is in the orange circle
4. Click on the tie icon in the orange circle to toggle it on or off

A tie can also be toggled by right-clicking on the note head, and selecting Tied.
