How does Axon connect to 'real' phone lines?

The best option is to use a telephone company that offers direct VoIP connections. Just ask them for the SIP logon details (username, password and server) and enter them in the external line settings.

If your current company does not offer VoIP (many older style companies don't because they lose money on them), then research signing up with a specialist VoIP telephone company. We have a list of tested and recommended companies in many countries listed on the Express Talk SIP Service Providers page.

If for any reason you really need to connect to an old analog line then you can use a 'SIP FXO Adapter' which connects between your network and the phone line. You can buy SIP FXO adapters from AltoEdge Hardware.
