RecordPad Sound Recorder - Why does it show "Waiting" instead of "Recording"?

RecordPad is designed to record when a sound is present. It will not record if there is not any sound.

You can adjust the level at which sound is picked up.

Click the Options button on the toolbar
Go to the Record tab
Select the Voice Activate Level checkbox
Adjust the voice activate level
- The further to the left, the more sensitive to sound the application will be and it will record sounds at lower levels.
- The further to the right, the less sensitive to sound the application will be and it will require louder noise for the recorder to activate.
Click the OK button
