There is not a signal in PitchPerfect when I play my guitar.

Please check your microphone settings.

  1. Click the Options button on the toolbar
  2. Select your Sound Input Device: from the dropdown list
  3. Click the Volume and Input Channel Settings
  4. Select your microphone
  5. Click the Properties button
  6. On the General tab, make sure that the Device usage: is set to enable
  7. Go to the Levels tab
  8. Try increasing the Microphone level slightly by moving the slider to the right
  9. Click OK to save your changes
  10. Click OK to return to PitchPerfect
  11. Click OK to close the Options window

After following these steps, try playing your instrument again. You may need to unplug your microphone, turn off your computer, plug in your microphone and restart your computer.
