TRx worked for a while and then stopped working.

Both of these problems are related to modem performance. Try reinstalling your modem. The correct sequence for reinstalling a modem is:

1. Uninstall TRx from C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\TRx
2. Unplug the modem -> uninstall the modem from control panel -> reinstall the modem software (use the manual install - not Windows Plug 'n Play) -> plug the modem in
3. Now install and run our software.

If this fails to help then you might need a different modem. Based on customer reports we can recommend the Lunar V.92 Express (80% success, good for home use and good audio quality). Unfortunately this modem does not support CID.
