Why does Express Scribe want to download a component when I can already play the video with other software?

For Express Scribe to be able to play back the audio and save it as a dct file, it must be able to decode the video and extract the audio from the video file. These actions require additional components beyond what most video players use for just playing the video. Allow the component installation to proceed so that Express Scribe can function as needed.
