1. Reset the Audio Engine & Driver
- Restart your MixPad: Close MixPad completely and reopen it.
- Reinitialize the Driver: In your MixPad's Audio Device settings, switch the audio device to a different device other than the ASIO device and Default, click apply, and then switch it back to your specific ASIO driver.
- Power Cycle Interface: Turn your audio interface off, unplug the USB cable, wait 5 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on.
2. Check for Shared Audio Exclusivity
ASIO drivers can only connect to one application at a time.
- Close background apps that output sound (e.g., web browsers, media players).
- Ensure another program isn't grabbing the driver. If you are using ASIO4ALL, ensure it isn't set as the default device in your Windows Sound Settings.
3. Match Sample Rates
If your Windows OS and MixPad are running at different sample rates, the driver can fail to output.
- Press
Win + R, type mmsys.cpl, and hit Enter to open Windows Sound Properties.
- Right-click your audio interface, go to Properties > Advanced, and set the format (e.g.,
24-bit, 48000 Hz).
- Ensure your MixPad's Audio Setup is set to this exact same sample rate.
4. Reinstall ASIO Drivers
If the problem persists, a corrupted driver might be the root cause.
- Download the latest driver directly from your hardware manufacturer's website (e.g., Focusrite, Universal Audio, MOTU).
- Completely uninstall your current ASIO driver, restart your PC, and install the fresh version.
5. Clear Conflicting Plugins
