DSS files are not loading in Express Scribe. What can I do?

One common reason for this issue is that the DSS files might be recorded in a mode that Express Scribe doesn't support.

• Verify Recording Mode: Check if the files are recorded in SP mode. This mode is optimized for single-person speech and is often compatible with Express Scribe.
• If the files are in DP or MP mode, they might not be directly compatible.

How to Verify if the files are recorded in SP mode?

2. Open the File: Launch the DSS Player and open the DSS file.
