Automated Outbound Call Software

NCH Software has created two applications that can be used to make automated outbound calls. Whether you need to remind patients of appointments and receive an interactive response or simply dial a list of numbers to complete a survey either the IVM AutoAttendant, VoiceMail and Outbound Call software or the Express Dial predictive dialer will suit your needs. Both can be used with standard PSTN lines or VoIP (IVM can use both concurrently) and they can also be used with the Axon Virtual PBx as a full scale solution for call centers.

Option 1:

Automated Call Software to Play Prerecorded Messages

The IVM Telephone Attendant software can be used to make automatic calls on a Windows or Linux PC. It automatically dials the number, waits for the caller to answer and then delivers an out going message. You can select the numbers IVM will call, the messages it will deliver, and even the time of day to make the call. IVM can even be set to determine whether a person or machine answers the phone, and deliver different messages accordingly. If you require a response from the person who answers via a telephone keypad then IVM can also accommodate this.

This function is ideal for small business seeking to deliver information to their customers without calling each one independently, or for organisations that need to send out regular messages to their clients and members. A quick way to try out the IVM outbound function is to download and install IVM now. You don't need to purchase to download and it only takes a couple of minutes to complete the process (click here to installclick here to install).

Option 2:

Auto Dialer Software using an Operator

Express Dial is a computer phone dialer for Windows PCs with VoIP or a voice modem and headset. It can be used to automate the dialing of a list of numbers (as a predictive dialer) or to call single numbers when required using only your PC, modem and headset. Express Dial is designed to use a voice modem with a microphone and speaker jack. A headset is connected to these jacks and allows the user the hear the phone call and talk to the other party when making automated calls. You cannot use the normal telephone handset with Express Dial.

Express Dial will use any voice modem connected to the PC's serial port so long as the modem has a headset connector or a mic and spk socket (most external modems do). In most cases it requires no setup. You can just install and dial immediately. One key use of Express Dial is for call centres and telephone surveys. This automated call software can be loaded with a list of phone number and it will sequentially call every number in the list. The user will choose when to end the call and automatically call the next number in sequence. This sequential calling can be started from the command line.
